the CITIZEN has been performing around the Low Country for the better part of a decade. When various line-ups had
tried numerous recording facilities to no avail, and none of these studios seemed up to par,He decided to start recording
his material on his own.. In 1999 he formed a make shift mixing room out of his parents garage, and began recording demos
of his songs with drums done in friends homes. A few of his friends heard these recordings and suggested recording
their bands. After 3 bands had recorded demos at Dwayne's house, his boss, Kevin Baragona, caught wind of what Dwayne was
doing and sought out and built the first commercial studio facility Holodeq studios LLC in 2001. Dwayne's first credits
were the local compilation "Soundcheck" released by the Record chain Cat's Music, in which Greenhill tracked and mixed 13
of the 32 local and regional bands on the double CD. Those credits included such bands as Quench, Painface, Christi
Starr, Spleen(Capt. Trips), Grayman, and a host of other local talent in every Genre possible. After a year at the first
location, Greenhill, Baragona, and head technician- Jesse "Guardo" Aguayo spent 2 1/2 years running Echos bar and
Grill in N. Charleston SC and Holodeq studios was rebuilt inside that facility. Thats where Aguayo and Greenhill Developed
a repior with the underground music scene in the south east, and Greenhill honed his skills as a live mix engineer. The
team tracked and mixed 7 live albums and countless demos for local and regional talent out of Echo's in 2003-2004. After
echo's closed at the end of 2004, Greenhill and Aguayo went out to find a new facility. They found a promising new sanctuary
in Moncks Corner SC and within 1 week of moving the recording equipment, began working on 5 projects that they had started
in the Holodeq. While still in construction mode, clients imediatley felt the chemistry and the creativity in
the new facility and that is where we are today.
